  • Mood: Tired
  • Listening to: Music on shuffle
  • Reading: Remember Everything You Read and Johannes Cabal
  • Watching: My kitty washing her foot.
  • Playing: Card games, usually.
  • Eating: Raspberries.

No more blue or yellow backgrounds for a while.

Vibrantize colors.

Think of the background instead of doing last-minute blah-ness.

etc., etc., etc.

Oh, and update journals more frequently. :)

November

  • Mood: Rant
  • Listening to: Muse
  • Reading: lots
  • Watching: my life melt into monotony
  • Playing: life?
  • Eating: nothing. I'm hungry.
  • Drinking: nothing. Had tea earlier, though.
I added another deviation and more scraps.

I feel like my gallery needs a good spring cleaning. Unfortunately, I think that a lot of my gallery pieces would end up going to my scraps.

It's frustrating: so many of my deviations are actually quite old. I either can't or just don't spend enough time on more current pieces (I'm constantly sketching, just not working on any projects).

Some of the scraps I added have been sitting in my computer for a while. I wish I could finish them. I have more, but I feel that if I show them to anyone, the chance of me working on them again would be lost (I suspect that I have a contrary disposition). However, there is one scrap that I'm itching to work on again in the future.

Anyway, it's a frustrating time in general. This next week and a half will be... interesting. Most of my professors don't want us to have too much to do over Thanksgiving break, which is great, but ends in my having two art history papers to write, one to edit, a french composition to write, and a french oral exam to give all before the break. :p Bleh. I can feel myself mentally digging in my heels and waiting for the load to fully hit me.

Oh well. At least my break will be nice and maybe I can finish reading Jane Eyre (<3!).

Oh yeah, and as a side note, I donated blood for the first time today. :) Oh! I just realized that I can finally take my bandage off. Yay! It was an interesting experience. Apparently my blood was quick in coming out - 6 1/2 minutes for 1 pint. I was there a total of over 2 hours, though. :/ I also saw a girl faint. I talked with her afterwards - she was quite nice.

Hello.

Mostly, I wanted to get a new journal entry up because I'm tired of seeing the old one from last year.

Yay, I finally submitted a deviation that looks less simple and that doesn't have pink all over the place! I think I want to try using texture again but more subtly. Well, we'll see. I'm just glad to be out of that mini pink stage.

Hope the year is going well for everyone. March looks like it's going to be a little stressful for me because of several writing assignments I have to do for school. I'm looking forward to watching spring creep in, though. :3

So, I really should make new art and update. I should update with the things I did last year. But mostly I sketch during lectures... and I haven't been on here in a while. Oh! I am trying to work out and simplify the comic idea (look up fatalreincarnation's gallery) that we're working on... well, we've decided that it won't be a comic so much as an illustrated story. Anyway. Other than that, I've been falling behind horribly in reading assignments, so my weekend is going to be full of reading. My goal: finish the book I've started reading for class and start on the next one, read pages 116 - 247 in my history of art book, and do my greek homework. ^_^ Which means I should get off the computer now, or else I'll say to myself "Just ONE episode of Ouran..." I swear, for a few days crunchyroll.com has been eating my life away. EATING my LIFE away, RACHELLE. Anyway, that's all! Sorry for the empty update!

I'M CONNECTED!

Fri Sep 1, 2006, 7:22 PM
I did it all by myself (with the help of the little guide they gave us at the start of move-in)! I'm connected to the internet via my dorm room! Yay!

... Maybe I need a blog or something.
