Mostly sketched this out to experiment with brushes that I hardly ever looked at before. I'm thinking I should've done this a long time ago. So much fun! Especially her t-shirt! <3
This is Alexandra, aka Alex, one of my characters for the Harry Potterish story (pretty much warped beyond recognition, because it's fun... let's call it Harry Potter-inspired, since a "Harry Potter fanfic" makes it sound like one of the original characters is the main character! Bah! Ridiculous!) , , and and I are working on.
Fae-girl: mother was a fairy woman who fell in love with Alex's father by way of his excellent baking. :3
(To my cohorts: I imagined her randomly showing up at the guys' cafe when they're temporarily short-staffed or something, and at first they don't want to let her work b/c they think she's a fangirl or something, but then she bakes something wonderful and they let her stay on. She isn't interested in romance really, so there wouldn't be any awkwardness.)
(P.S. To my cohorts: Should she write her name as "Alex" or as "Alexe?")
I should stop posting late at night, I always type too much when I'm tired.
I like the idea of her coming in when they are short staffed. Dante would be like wtf and Slate would like- Shut up, she stays. I've never seen the name written Alexe- is it still pronounced the same?
I kinda did a doodle of this character in the margin of my notebook, but I totally did not know how her hair should be. I think I tried to draw her with a t-shirt that has a vest on it, a skirt and some pant things under it and slippers... Messy doodle tho.
Her hair is really short (bobbed and maybe a few inches past her ears) and smooth-looking. Normally she either wears it down or with part of it up - this is more of her "at work" hair style. To be even more specific, she has red and orange streaks on the under-side of her hair, where normally people don't see it.
And those clothing choices sound like something she'd wear. :3 And her name would still be pronounced the same. I think she'd have a funny relationship with the guys and their fans.

I don't know, would guys be interested in her? I have no clue,
I had a funny thought the other day: what if the refrigerator troll (was his name Fred?) was also the cafe's cook/baker? Cuz I don't know who else would be.

I think I named him Charlie. I hadn't thought about it, but maybe he could have some culinary skills. I was just having Slate be teh cook/baker when Dante shows up and I haven't put Charlie in there cuz I didn't think that Slate would have ...hired? him yet.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P

Anyway, she looks cute and I like the pose. :3
